The head of Iranian diplomacy called the Middle East region a “powder keg.”

On Sunday, October 22, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdullahian warned Israel and the United States that the situation in the Middle East could “get out of control” unless the two countries “immediately stop crimes against humanity in Gaza.”

Al Arabiya agency reports this.

“Today the region is a powder keg. I would like to warn the United States and the Israeli puppet regime that if they do not immediately stop crimes against humanity and genocide in Gaza, anything is possible at any time and the region will become uncontrollable,” the head of Iranian diplomacy said in a statement. during a press conference with his South African counterpart Naledi Pandor in Tehran.

For her part, Ms. Pandor called on the international community to “pay much more attention” to the fate of the Palestinians.

A few days ago, Iran's Foreign Minister already threatened Israel with “preventive strikes.”

The international community fears that the war that began on October 7 between Hamas and Israel will intensify due to intervention, in particular, by Lebanese Hezbollah, an ally of the Palestinian Islamist Hamas movement, which is backed by Iran.

Recall that China has deployed six warships to the Middle East due to fears that the conflict between Hamas and Israel could escalate into a world war.
