Iran's revenge for the assassination of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, head of the elite al-Quds unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), could catch the United States on its own soil. This was stated by the current commander of the Al-Quds unit, Brigadier General Ismail Kaani, quoted by the Tasnim agency.
“You will no longer be able to relax even at home, and it is not unlikely that revenge will find you there,” Kaani threatened. Addressing the current US President Donald Trump and others involved in the assassination of Soleimani, the Iranian general stressed that they will not be able to “live in comfort” after their crime.
Earlier it became known that an unknown person broke through the air on the frequency of the US civil aviation and threatened to fly into the building of the US Congress on January 6. Thus, the attacker argued, he would avenge the killed Iranian general Qasem Suleimani. The sender of this message has not yet been identified.
Suleimani died in Iraqi Baghdad on January 3, 2020, in a missile attack from the United States. Together with the general, several officers accompanying him and the deputy commander of the Iraqi Shiite militia, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, were killed. In response, Tehran fired dozens of missiles at American targets in Iraq on the night of January 8. The operation that took place was named “Martyr of Suleimani”.
