Ambassadors of Great Britain and Norway are being called by the Iranian authorities due to “intervention and hostile media coverage” of nationwide protests that provoked the death of a woman detained by morality police.

“Demonstrations that erupted more than a week ago at the funeral of 22-year-old Kurdish woman Mahsa Amini spread across the country and grew into the biggest wave of protest in recent years,” the source said.
The Norwegian Ambassador was summoned to explain the “interventionist position” of the Speaker of the Norwegian Parliament, who expressed support for the testers on Twitter.
