Iran Reveals Real Consequences of US Attack on Its Nuclear Facilities

Washington says its strikes on Iranian targets have “destroyed” the country's nuclear program.

The US strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities caused “significant and severe” damage.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said this in an interview with the state-run IRINN channel, CNN writes.

“I must say that the damage is significant and serious, but whether the IAEA inspectors should come and be fully informed is a decision that must be taken in accordance with the law of parliament,” the minister stressed.

It should be noted that Araghchi's statements came against the backdrop of Tehran approving a bill suspending cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog, the IAEA.

In addition, the politician notes, Tehran does not plan to resume negotiations on the nuclear program with the United States, because they “betrayed the negotiations in the middle of the process.”

US Statements

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth repeated the Trump administration's claim that its strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities “destroyed” the country's nuclear program.

The 30,000-pound bombs dropped “functioned as expected, which is to say they exploded,” said General Dan Kane, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Donald Trump called the strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Isfahan and Natan “some of the most successful military strikes in history.” He compared the American strikes on Iran to the use of nuclear bombs in Japan.

Let us recall that the Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei congratulated the Iranian people on their “victory over the United States” and said Tehran had “slapped America in the face.” He said the United States “could not achieve much” when it struck the country's nuclear facilities, saying Washington's claims of a successful attack were exaggerated.
