Iran refuses to pay Ukraine compensation for the downed Boeing 737-800 of the company “Ukraine International airlines”. This was announced by the head of the Central insurance of the Republic of Gholamreza Soleimani, reports Reuters.
“The Ukrainian aircraft are insured in Ukraine by European companies, not Iranian. Consequently, these companies have to pay compensation,” he said. Reuters notes that Soleimani meant compensation for the plane crash, not for the deaths of his passengers. Is that European insurance companies did not comment on this issue.
