Iran fired on US military base in Syria – media

The Iranian military fired at an American military base located on the territory of the SAR, according to the Telegram channel Ateo Breaking.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed responsibility for the attack. It is noted that in this way the IRGC gave a signal to Washington about the need to withdraw troops from Syria.

“You left Iraq and Afghanistan. Now you have to leave the SAR, ”the formation said in a statement.

Information about the casualties and destruction was not received.

The US military mission in Iraq began in 2003. In July 2021, American leader Joe Biden announced the end of the United States operation in Iraq.

The operation in Afghanistan became the longest running overseas military campaign in American history. It started in October 2001. On August 30, the Pentagon announced that the United States mission in Afghanistan was officially completed.

Earlier, the spiritual leader and second Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, expressed the opinion that, despite the “huge funds” invested by Washington in creating a positive image of the United States, now “the country and the regime are hated by a significant part of the world.”
