Iran considers US President Donald Trump the “number one criminal” in the murder of IRGC General Qassem Soleimani, said the head of the Islamic Republic's judiciary, Ebrahim Raisi.
“Trump is the number one felon responsible for the murder of the martyr Soleimani,” Fars quoted him as saying.
Raisi noted that the American president “cannot be considered free from punishment” for this.
In late June, Tehran issued a warrant for the arrest of Trump and more than 30 others who, according to the Iranian authorities, are involved in the murder of Soleimani.
On January 3, the United States announced that Iranian General Soleimani was killed during the operation in Iraq. After that, Tehran announced an “act of international terrorism.”
Iran responded to the assassination of Soleimani with strikes on American bases in Iraq.
