Apple is slated to launch a new smartphone in the coming months. This is reported by the GizChina edition with reference to its own sources.
The device will be the successor to the iPhone SE introduced in spring 2020. The model, which will be called the iPhone SE Plus, will come with a 6.1-inch display with a cutout for the front camera and Face ID sensor. In addition to the biometric sensor, the device will receive a fingerprint sensor – it will be located in the side button.
The disclosed device will have a 12-megapixel single camera, an up-to-date Apple A14 Bionic chip, and support for 5G networks. The smartphone will be released in three color options – black, red and white. Also, the iPhone SE Plus will receive IP67 protection against moisture and dust.
Insiders said that the cost of the device will be $ 499, it will belong to the category of budget smartphones. For comparison, the iPhone SE unveiled on April 15 was priced at $ 399. According to analysts, thanks to the availability of the Touch ID sensor, which is relevant during the pandemic, 5G support and low cost, the new model will become popular in the market. The device is expected to be released in the coming months.
