Apple will release a new budget smartphone in 2021. This is reported by the publication GizChina with reference to the report of the authoritative insider Ming-Chi Kuo.
According to the expert, Apple is considering the new device as a successor to the iPhone SE released in April. The device will have a budget positioning and will be called the iPhone SE Plus. The gadget will differ from the original model with an enlarged display and a more efficient processor. Ko believes that the device will come with a screen diagonal of 5.5 or 6.1 inches, while retaining the IPS display of the iPhone SE.
The available device will be equipped with a new generation Apple A14 Bionic chip, but will not receive support for fifth generation networks. The analyst is leaning towards the version that the iPhone SE Plus will receive a body either iPhone 8 or iPhone XR. The announcement of the new device is expected in the second half of 2021.
The cheap iPhone SE, priced at a minimum of 40 thousand rubles, was presented on April 15. The device received the design of the iPhone 8, a 4.7-inch IPS-screen, an Apple A13 chip, 64 gigabytes of internal memory, a single camera with a resolution of 12 megapixels.
Insider Min-Chi Ko first revealed that Apple is developing an enlarged version of the SE at the end of April. The specialist said that the American company planned to introduce the iPhone SE Plus in 2020, but decided to postpone its release until 2021. The device will receive a display enlarged to 5.5 or 6.1 inches and the same screen cutout as the current iPhone.
