Rumors have surfaced online that Apple is planning to expand the wireless charging coil in the 2021 iPhone. This will not only improve heat management and increase power, but will also bring smartphones closer to supporting reverse wireless charging.
This was announced by the well-known insider Max Weinbach (Max Weinbach). Increasing the coil in the iPhone 13 will create more surface area on the back that can be used for charging. Weinbach previously reported that the 2021 iPhones will receive stronger MagSafe magnets.
All innovations will allow people to charge other devices, such as AirPods, by placing them on the back of the iPhone.
While there are doubts about this rumor. Reverse wireless charging drains the battery a lot, so it might make more sense for Apple to include it on an iPad that has a larger battery.
