Apple's next flagship smartphone will be released without delay. This was stated in a report for MacRumors by the authoritative insider Ming-Chi Kuo.
The analyst noted that Apple has taken into account all the problems with the release of smartphones in 2020 and intends to present the next generation of smartphones just in time. The company intends to hold its traditional presentation in September. In this regard, Min-Chi Ko predicts that the first batch of iPhone 13 will go into production in the summer of 2021.
The expert also declassified information that in 2021 Apple will release an iPhone with an Apple A15 processor. At the same time, he denied rumors that the main manufacturer of chips for the iPhone – the Taiwanese company TSMC – is slowing down production by 20 percent. According to the analyst, the demand for smartphones of the iPhone 12 series is consistently high, so the partners of the American corporation are not going to reduce supply volumes.
The journalists recalled that the iPhone 12 series devices presented in 2020 went on sale globally with a delay. The flagship production started only in September, which is why Apple for the first time since 2011 had to postpone its presentation to October.
Retailers and analysts previously interviewed by Kommersant journalists said that sales of new iPhones had collapsed in Russia. In the first two weeks of sales in the networks of mobile operators, about 48 thousand new devices were registered – this is three times less than in 2019, when the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro models were released.
