The new iPhones will be announced on October 13th. This is reported by Appleinsider, citing informed sources.
The publication was contacted by an anonymous source who identified himself as an employee of a telecommunications operator based in the Netherlands. According to him, Apple has disclosed to its partners the information that it will hold a presentation of the iPhone 12 on Tuesday, October 13. The release of the smartphone is scheduled for Friday October 16th.
The journalists emphasized that they cannot accurately verify the source, but the message they received was sent from an IP address controlled by a Dutch provider, with which the insider associates himself. Also, experts noted that information about the Apple event scheduled for the coming weeks appears in other media.
In particular, on September 22, MacRumors announced that it had received a declassified corporate video of the British Telecom mobile operator. In the video, the provider's top managers inform employees that the launch of the iPhone with 5G is expected “in a few days.” Also featured in the video is Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice president of software, who hails the launch of 5G smartphones in the UK.
According to network insiders, the base Apple smartphone will be called the iPhone 12 mini. The rest of the brand's flagships will be called the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The announcement of new Apple smartphones is expected this fall.
