The screen of the most expensive smartphone Apple iPhone 12 is recognized as the best on the market. This is stated in a report on the website of the research company DisplayMate.
The company's specialists said that once again they put the screen of the current flagship Apple on the first line of the rating of the best displays for smartphones. In 2019 and 2018, the leadership in the top was occupied by the iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone XS Max, respectively. It is specified that, according to the test results, the flagship screen set 11 quality records, including the categories “Highest absolute color accuracy”, “Highest contrast ratio”, “Highest visible screen resolution”.
In tests, the iPhone 12 Pro Max has achieved the highest A + rating and the status of the best smartphone screen in the world. The experts noted that the device received a modern flexible OLED screen, which remains monolithic under a hard protective film made of glass, and a high resolution of 2.8K ensures the most correct color reproduction and rendering of small details.
In several test categories, the flagship's OLED panel was rated “visually indistinguishable from ideal”. The experts also noted the high accuracy of the screen calibration, close to the laboratory one.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2778×1284 pixels, peak brightness of 800 nits or 1200 for HDR, support for P3 color gamut and 2,000,000: 1 contrast ratio.
Smartphones of the current Apple series were presented on October 13. The cost of the top line device – iPhone 12 Pro Max – starts at 110 thousand rubles.
