In the Ternopil region, a man appeared before the court, who in the middle of the night stole 3,000 Polish zlotys from his casual acquaintance. The woman kept this amount of money in her bra.
The incident occurred at the end of June last year in the village of Goroshovo, Chortkovsky district.
The suspect, planning a romantic relationship with a woman, decided to invite her to visit him. They spent the evening together, and subsequently the woman agreed to stay overnight with a friend.
– Already at night the man woke up, took the bra of the sleeping woman and went into the bathroom. There he ripped open a bra and stole 3,000 zlotys from the Republic of Poland, and also stole 1,000 hryvnias from a woman’s purse, the report says.
Already at the trial, the woman explained how she managed to hide such a sum of money in her underwear. She kept złoty in the inside of the right cup of the bra she wore the night before the robbery.
The man confessed to the crime and asked for forgiveness in front of a friend. She did not file any other claims, in particular a civil suit.
It is noted that the suspect is temporarily unemployed, verbal complaints about him were received only from the owner of the house, where the man “received” his friend. He is not registered in the psychiatric and narcological offices.
What did the court decide?
Criminal proceedings were opened under Part 2 of Art. 185 (Theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
During the investigation, it was established that at the time of the crime , PLN 3,000 amounted to UAH 21,742.20. At the same time, whether the woman received the stolen funds is not indicated in the court materials.
At a meeting on February 14, the man was found guilty of the crime and sentenced to six months in jail. However, in the near future this decision can still be challenged in court.
