Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case on hooliganism after shooting in a hospital in Svetlograd

A criminal case has been opened in the Stavropol Territory after the shooting in a hospital in Svetlograd. This was announced on Tuesday, December 28, by the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR).

According to the investigation, a drunk 36-year-old local resident came with a weapon to the Petrovsky regional hospital, where his wife works as a nurse. Suspecting her in an office romance with one of the doctors, he opened fire from a firearm in the corridor of the medical facility. A criminal case was initiated under article 213 (“Hooliganism committed with the use of objects used as weapons”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

An investigator of the regional TFR is working on the spot, all the circumstances of the incident are being investigated. The investigation is ongoing. The anesthesiologist Andrei Miroshnichenko was detained. The couple is going through a divorce proceedings. They are raising two children: a 13-year-old son and a six-year-old daughter.
