< p _ngcontent-sc90="" class="news-annotation">Occupiers came to Ukrainian soil not only to kill and take away territories, but also to rob Ukrainians and Ukrainian cities. They neglect nothing, so they even stole fountains from the temporarily occupied Mariupol.
occupiers liked Mariupol fountains
They have already installed one of these fountains in Khartsyzsk, a city in the Donetsk region occupied by the Russians back in 2014. This Channel 24 was told by the adviser to the Mayor of Mariupol, Petr Andryushchenko.
According to him, after information appeared that a “new” fountain had been opened in Khartsyzsk, Mariupol was suspected that it might be stolen. And so it turned out.
In the Kalmiussky district of Mariupol, where the occupiers set up their humanitarian headquarters, they planned to open a floating pool even before the full-scale invasion. It was supposed to happen all this spring. There was also a fountain, they protested and mothballed it until the opening.
The Russians quietly took it away. It was not difficult, given that not many people knew about the fountain, only specialists involved in the repair and restoration of the pool. And now, recently this fountain “floated” in Khartsyzsk.
In addition, back in July, Andryushchenko reported that the Russians had also taken away the main Mariupol fountain from the Theater Square. First, they dismantled the ice rink that was installed there, and then the fountain itself with all the equipment. They continue to search for it.
The unique lighting was also taken away
The invaders also stole 1 unique lighting that made Mariupol residents happy on Svoboda Square and won more than one international competition. It was supposedly taken out for repairs. Andryushchenko suggests that it will also be “gifted” to someone and it will appear somewhere in the “liberated”, as Russians like to say, territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, or somewhere in Russia.
They plundered everything they could actually plunder,” summed up the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol.
Now the Russians are proud of the lamp
At the same time, , as the invaders plunder almost all the unique treasures of Mariupol, they pretend that they care about the life of the locals and do something for them. It turns out to be absurd.
Yes, they attached a lamp to one of the pillars on Pobeda Avenue and now they are proud of such “lighting”. At the same time, the remaining columns remained empty.
