From brushing your teeth to the bedroom: before the kick-off in Sölden, the ÖSV runners were followed by cameras for 48 hours.
The ÖSV ski stars are used to being in public and being constantly accompanied by cameras. Especially at home races, they hardly go unnoticed for a moment. However, certain areas such as the team hotel or the bedrooms are just as taboo as internal meetings.
A twelve-minute short documentary now provides fascinating insights into the inner workings of the Austrian ski teams. An internal camera team followed the stars for 48 hours before the start of the season in Sölden. In the bathroom, in the bedroom and of course on the slopes. The apt name: Behind the scenes.
Marco Schwarz brushing his teeth
And precisely because trusted employees of the ÖSV made this short film, the runners present themselves in unison in a casual, relaxed manner and sometimes show themselves from a side that has never been seen before.
Or who would have thought that Marco Schwarz is a fan of the animated series “The Simpsons”? When the combined world champion from 2021 lies on the massage bench and lets himself be kneaded, then he only has eyes for Homer, Bart, Maggie & Co ..
Manuel Feller doing morning exercise
This film is supposed to be just the beginning. In the coming months, the ÖSV wants to bring the everyday life of its athletes closer to the public and provide insights.
