On March 21, World Poetry Day, the Poesia 21 website will host 8 live broadcasts from all over the world all day long – from China to Latin America, from Northern Europe to Sub-Saharan Africa.
The readings will be attended by 368 poets from 95 countries, speaking 70 languages. For 20 hours, viewers will be able to travel across countries and continents, choosing their own route in world poetry. We will get acquainted with many outstanding poets of our time in a live broadcast, and see the originals and translations of sounding texts into different languages, including Russian.
Poesia 21 fulfills the dreams of many poets around the world of an event where we can be together and hear each other regardless of whether we can travel. Poesia 21 is a new approach to how we can read and perceive poetry.
