Evgeny Yushchuk, a member of the International Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP), shared a way to come up with the most reliable password, the Public News Service reports.

The most difficult to guess can be considered a combination based on a passphrase.

“Relatively speaking, you can make a password“ where I am going with Piglet is a big, big secret ”. In this case, replace the letter “o” with zero, and the letter “a” with “@” and put an exclamation mark at the end, “Yushchuk explained.

Using this method of generating a password greatly reduces the risk of the user forgetting it. At the same time, according to the expert, no one outsiders will most likely be able to pick up a password created on this principle.

Interestingly, in the course of an investigation into the recent hacking of the Colonial Pipeline computer network in the United States by ransomware hackers, it turned out that the attackers had used the password from the VPN account of one of the company's employees that had leaked onto the Internet. This data was shared with the media by the senior vice president of Mandiant, Charles Karmakal, who was in charge of mitigating the consequences of the attack. According to Kommersant, the ill-fated key was found in the so-called “dark web”.

As a reminder, in May, hackers used ransomware to attack Colonial Pipeline's IT systems. As a result, the pipeline network was temporarily shut down for several days, causing gasoline shortages in states on the east coast of the United States.
