Instagram will be closed for users who did not provide a date of birth
The corporation Facebook will close access to the social network Instagram for people who have not indicated their date of birth in the profile, according to the company's website.
It is noted that this data is needed “in order to develop new functions to protect young users.”
First, the user will be prompted to indicate the date of birth each time they log into the account, as well as when trying to view a post with ambiguous content. If the data is not entered soon, the Facebook administration will restrict access to Instagram.
Earlier, Facebook announced the blocking of content related to the extremist Taliban movement (banned in the Russian Federation). All accounts maintained by the Taliban, as well as profiles with statements in their support, will be banned. The corresponding restrictions apply to Instagram and WhatsApp.
