Social network Instagram has launched a new feature to ensure user safety – Security Checkup. On Tuesday, July 13, the company said in a statement.
– Starting today, a new Security Checkup feature will appear on the social network, which will help users to protect their accounts. Security Checkup will offer users, whose accounts are to be hacked, to go through several steps necessary to protect the account, – said in the message.
Instagram users, whose accounts on the network may be hacked, will be able to check whether they have logged into the account from other devices, as well as make sure the information on the page is correct, confirm interaction with other profiles, or update information to restore access to their accounts.
The company's specialists also advised to use two-factor identification for the security of Instagram accounts, add a phone number and email so that the social network can contact the user if necessary.
As the site kp.ru wrote earlier, yesterday the YouTube Shorts (beta) function for creating short videos became available to Russian users.
