Instagram added the ability for app users to post videos up to 60 minutes in length to the main feed, which were previously in a dedicated IGTV section. This was reported on October 5 by The Verge.
Prior to that, Instagram launched IGTV as a mobile analogue of YouTube, but even a couple of years later, the format did not become popular, the newspaper writes.
It is noted that now IGTV will undergo a rebranding, this application project will change its name to Instagram TV. This format is supposed to be the most convenient for those users who log into Instagram solely for the sake of watching video content. Instagram first launched for IGTV users in 2018.
The day before, it was reported that Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp users on October 4 faced a crash in the operation of applications. There were also problems with the work of the Facebook Messenger application, which is designed to exchange messages among users of the social network of the same name.
