The use of the German national goalkeeper at the first home game of Munich is questionable.
FC Bayern Munich may have to do without national goalkeeper Manuel Neuer in the first Bundesliga home game of the season. The captain sustained a capsule injury on his right ankle while winning the Supercup in Dortmund, as the German record champions announced. The 35-year-old new boy was unable to train on Thursday because of the injury.

Bayern did not give any information about the possible length of the break from Neuer. The Munich team must play against 1. FC Köln on the second day of the match. The game will only take place on Sunday (5.30 p.m.).
Ulreich as a new replacement
Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann was confident in assessing the damage to his number one right after the 3-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday evening. “Manu had that one punch where he took something on the ankle. But he could play through, also play very well. I do not assume that it is anything worse, ”said Nagelsmann.
Neuer continued to play after a brief treatment. Should Neuer fail, Sven Ulreich, who has returned from Hamburger SV to Bayern, should be in the Munich goal against Cologne.
