Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, who contracted the coronavirus this month, tested negative for COVID-19. He announced this in his Telegram channel.
“I finally have a negative coronavirus test result. <...> From today I am already at work. The day will be busy, but I am very happy to plunge into work as usual, ”Zelensky said.
According to the president, his temperature is 36.6 degrees, and he himself is “positive, because the test result is negative.”
“Many thanks to all friends, Ukrainians for their support. All opponents will not wait! ” – concluded Zelensky.
Zelensky said he contracted the coronavirus on November 9. Also, COVID-19 was detected at the head of the office of President Andriy Yermak, Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergei Marchenko and Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov.
Three days later, Zelensky and Yermak were hospitalized. In the ward where the Ukrainian leader was placed, a meeting room was equipped and special communications were carried out.
After Zelenskiy was admitted to the hospital, there were reports that his treatment for COVID-19 was costing the Ukrainian budget “millions of hryvnias”. However, the president himself said that he was being treated on general terms, the information was confirmed by the head doctor of the hospital.
According to the Ministry of Health, 635.6 thousand infected with COVID-19 were detected in Ukraine (plus 10.9 thousand people per day). 11 thousand patients died.
