– This is the most expensive mango in the world, which is called the mango “Tayo no Tamago” or “Egg of the Sun”, which grows in Miyazaki prefecture, Japan, – the owner of the tree Vikas Das told RIA Novosti.
She also said that the tree on which this fruit grows is very valuable to him. The thing is that the fruits of this plant, which are guarded by the locals, have a special taste and smell. Because of this, Vikas Das intends to sell his goods not on the market, but to arrange an auction.
Miyazaki mangoes weigh about 350 grams and are rich in antioxidants, beta-carotene and folic acid. As for the cost, the price tag starts at 8 thousand rupees per kilogram (107 dollars) and can go up to 270 thousand rupees (3.6 thousand dollars).
