India will test cow knowledge in an exam

The Government of India has introduced an annual optional examination in Cow Science. The first test is scheduled for February 25, it will take place online, writes Vice.

All schoolchildren and students of the country, as well as citizens who want to test their knowledge about cows, will be able to take the exam. The screening test will have one hundred questions. The exam is organized by the Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog Agency (RKA), a cattle protection community founded in 2012 under the Ministry of Livestock.

The agency also posted a 54-page exam preparation guide that found claims without scientific evidence. For example, the manual states that “the milk of cows of Indian breeds contains particles of gold.”

The Ministry of Livestock assures that the exam is intended to “awaken interest” in cows. However, some citizens believe that the test is used by the authorities to politicize the sacred animal.

Recall that India has been actively protecting cows since 2014, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power in the country. So, in nineteen states of the country, the slaughter and export of these animals was banned.

Previously, scientists found out that India turned out to be the homeland of the common ancestor of horses, rhinos and donkeys. The ancestor of the detachment was a small animal the size of a sheep.
