Indian pharmaceutical company Gennova Biopharmaceuticals will create a vaccine against the omicron strain of coronavirus infection. It is expected that it will be ready in one or two months, Reuters writes, citing sources.
After a short trial, the drug can be used as a third booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The first phases of drug trials took place at the end of 2021. If approved, the drug will be the first Indian mRNA (matrix) vaccine adapted to the omicron strain.
