Индия стремится помочь России и Украине завершить войну — глава МИД

According to Jaishankar, the solution to the scenario of ending the war cannot be found on the battlefield.

Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmany Jaishankar said his country would use relations with Russia and Ukraine, as he hopes to help the two countries resolve conflict.

NHK World-Japan reports on this.

The Indian Foreign Minister held a press conference in Tokyo on Monday, July 29, after attending a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Quad (QUAD – Quadrilateral Security Dialogue – a four-party strategic dialogue on security in the Indo-Pacific region, which includes Australia, India, the United States and Japan).

According to Jaishankar, the use of force does not solve the problems between countries and the solution according to the scenario of ending the war will not arise on the battlefield.

The minister also said that India should more actively contribute to the search for a way to resolve the conflict, since not many countries are actually negotiating with both Russia and Ukraine.

Recall that recently the media reported that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was “considering the possibility” of visiting Ukraine next month, after he visited Moscow in early July and held talks with the Kremlin dictator. However, Jaishankar did not confirm this information at the conference.
