India increases stockpiles of weapons in case of 15-day war – media

Indian military personnel are working to build up large strategic reserves that will be required to conduct 15 days of combat in the event of war. The Times of India newspaper writes about this.

According to official sources, India intends to increase its stocks of weapons and ammunition to 15-I level amid confrontation with China in eastern Ladakh. The weapons are planned to be purchased from foreign and Indian manufacturers.

At the moment, the authorities are considering the possibility of fighting on two fronts – against China and Pakistan.

The government allocated 500 billion rupees (about $ 67.8 million) for the corresponding needs. According to preliminary data, the Indian army has already purchased a large number of missiles and shells for tanks and artillery.

Earlier it was reported that China has begun building military camps along the line of contact with India.
