New Delhi and Central Asian countries agreed to create a joint group on the situation in Afghanistan during the India-Central Asia online summit. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of India Rinat Sandhu. His words are quoted by TASS.
The diplomat said that the negotiators agreed to continue close consultations on Afghanistan. At a briefing following the summit, he stressed that the working group will be created at the level of high-ranking officials.
Earlier, the National Resistance Front (FTS), which opposed the Taliban that seized power in Afghanistan (a terrorist organization banned in Russia), said that the war in the republic had not ended, but had entered a new phase. The representative of the militia pointed out that there will be no peace in the state until a fair political system is established.
