Ukrainians came to thank the Poles for their hospitality and help.

In Warsaw in Sunday, May 29, a gratitude march was held to the Polish people from Ukrainians who came to Poland after the Russian aggression.

Polish Radio reports this.

Participants of the gratitude march gathered in front of the Sejm, and then on foot they walked through the Square of Three Crosses, Novy Svet and Krakow Suburb to Zamkova Square.

Ambassador of Ukraine in Poland Andriy Deshchytsia invited the event on Twitter: “Friends are known in war. Poles are our true friends, fighting every day with us!”

The Embassy of Ukraine in Poland explained that the purpose of the event was to thank the Poles “for their cordiality and help, for the friendship and support shown to our people.”

The marchers carried a large banner with the words: “Thank you”; several meter Ukrainian flag with the inscription “THEY ARE US” and signatures; with the words “Sincerely thank you”, gratitude for the volunteers and small paper flags of Poland and Ukraine. dla Polaków, którzy od pierwszego dnia z szerokimi ramionami, otwartymi sercami and uściskami witali nas!

On Zamkova Square, where the March of Gratitude ended, a fair of Ukrainian products was held during the day, and a concert was held in the evening with Ukrainian and Polish artists, including Maria Burmaka, Kazka, TVORCHI and Poparzeni Kawą Trzy.

It was previously reported that Ukrainian refugees in Poland will be able to study in their native language.
