A student at the University of Warsaw came to the protest with an anti-Semitic poster.

In Warsaw , a fifth-year medical student was suspended from classes following an internal audit. According to university officials, a girl at a pro-Palestinian rally on October 21 held an image of the Star of David in a trash bin with the inscription “Keep the world clean.”

This was reported by the portal Interia.pl.

In a letter, the rector of the Warsaw Medical University, Professor Zbigniew Gaczong, emphasized that the incident with the anti-Semitic poster, which was held by a student from Norway, occurred outside the walls of the institution and on a free day from classes – on Saturday.

“On the first working day after the incident, the Norwegian student was called to the dean’s office to provide an explanation. Based on the findings in this regard, I immediately decided to refer the case to the Disciplinary Ombudsman for Students and Doctoral Students of the Medical University of Warsaw, and then to suspend the student from her studies,” – he stated.

Gachong added that displays of hate speech or violence “have no place at the university,” but the institution “does not control or monitor” the private accounts of its students on social networks.

Let us recall that on October 28, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on all citizens to come to a rally in support of the Palestinians.
