In Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, doctors mistakenly vaccinated 18 infants aged 2 to 6 months against coronavirus. The kids were vaccinated with Pfizer/BioNTech.

According to the newspaper, the incident occurred on Wednesday, the 3rd of November. However, the Hanoi Health Department found out on Thursday. The Ministry of Health immediately dispatched medical specialists to the hospital, who examined the babies' health and took the necessary measures to ensure their safety. Specialists at the Children's Hospital reported that the babies' health status is stable .
The Ministry of Health requested the Hanoi Health Department to immediately investigate and find the reasons that caused the error and bring to the responsibility of those involved. The minister asked the Hanoi Department of Health after this incident to order agencies to strengthen oversight to prevent similar cases in the future. He also said that he requires strict punishment of the defendants in the case.
By the way, the World Health Organization recommended the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine against COVID-19 to children, but they are prescribed to the age group 12-17 years.
