Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk in his Twitter account threatened that the attempt to arrest and prosecute ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko would have serious consequences for the current Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.

“An attempt to arrest Poroshenko will have irreparable consequences for Zelensky. You can ask [ex-President of Ukraine Viktor] Yanukovych, ”he said.

In addition, according to the former prime minister, the judges who will decide on the Poroshenko case will also face responsibility. He recalled the fate of the Ukrainian judge Rodion Kireev, who at one time the parliament of Ukraine granted permission to arrest Kireev, but he left the country.

Yatsenyuk stressed that the authorities still have the opportunity to stop and not pursue Poroshenko.

Earlier it was reported that Petro Poroshenko was accused of treason in the framework of the case on the purchase of coal from Donbass. In particular, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) accused the politician of using his powers as the head of state to break contracts for coal supplies from South Africa.
