In Ukraine, they proposed to allow certain categories of men to travel abroad. In particular, this applies to students and athletes.
The relevant bills have already been registered by people's deputies. However, there is an important detail – a man who wants to go abroad must officially assume the obligation to return to Ukraine. Channel 24 informs about this.
Ukraine proposes to open borders for men
According to bills No. 9075 and No. 9074, Ukrainian students of foreign universities and other categories of citizens who are not subject to mobilization can be allowed to travel abroad.
Important! Such travel abroad must be agreed with the military registration and enlistment offices.
At the same time, a man who wants to go abroad must return to Ukraine no later than the expiration of the period for which he is not subject to mobilization (or within 30 days after departure).
In addition, it is proposed to allow Ukrainian athletes to travel abroad to participate in international competitions and other sporting events. To do this, they must provide a letter of confirmation from the central executive authority or the national federation for the sport of leaving for an international sporting event.
By the way, if men illegally left Ukraine during martial law, they should bear responsibility for this.
Which of the men can leave Ukraine during the war
The list of categories changed during the year. Now it looks like this:
- reserved employees of enterprises;
- men with disabilities of any group;
- temporarily unfit for military service;
- persons containing three minor children;
- persons independently raising a child under 18 years of age;
- men who have a minor child (children) and a wife who is doing military service;
- employees of the Ministry of Defense, the SBU, the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- representatives of certain professions (railroad workers, aviation workers).
