Ukrainian political scientist Alexander Kochetkov considered it reasonable to send teenagers to the front in case of aggression from Russia. He wrote about this in the edition “Glavred”.
He expressed the opinion that in a war, the average level of training of fighters is not so important. The only thing that matters is the number of defenders who are able to shoot towards the enemy. “In case of mass shooting, the theory of probability will work, and the bullets with shells will find the target,” the expert is sure. He added that both men and women and teenagers are suitable for such a defense. A serious level of military skill is only necessary to carry out certain special operations, he summed up.
Earlier it became known that all Ukrainian women aged 18 to 60 years old will be obliged to appear at the military registration and enlistment office at their place of residence and find out whether they are suitable for military registration, depending on their education and profession. For refusal from the procedure, a monetary fine is provided.
Later, Deputy Minister of Defense of the country Anna Malyar clarified that Ukrainian women would not be forcibly conscripted into military service, and the law obliging them to register for military service would only update the existing rules in the country in this regard.
