Press Secretary of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko denied the information about the ban on the entry of Russians into the country. The representative of the department urged not to trust the rumors, according to the publication “Telegraph”.
Do not be guided by rumors. There is Ukrainian legislation regulating the crossing of the state border, and border guards strictly observe it

According to him, every day dozens of foreign citizens are denied entry to Ukraine “for various reasons.” He clarified that among them there are Russians who, like everyone else, must “fulfill the conditions for entry before entering the country's territory.”
Eyewitness reports
Earlier, users of social networks began to spread information that Ukraine completely banned Russians from entering its territory. An exception, according to witnesses, is made only for those who have a certificate of death of close relatives. The Ukrainian newspaper Strana.ua writes about this.
It is noted that the border guards, when denied entry into the country, refer to the order of the authorities, which was received on February 12 at about 13:00.
The Mash Telegram channel also reported that one of the users of the Rada chat, dedicated to the situation on the Russian-Ukrainian border, spoke about her attempt to enter Ukraine. She claims that the borders are closed to all Russians, except for those traveling to the funeral of relatives.

Meanwhile, Belarusian chats also spread information that citizens of the republic are not allowed into the country, writes Mash.
Rada's reaction
Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the Opposition Platform – For Life party Vadim Rabinovich reacted to reports of a new ban by the Ukrainian authorities. He confirmed this information in his Telegram channel.

Petition to ban entry for Russians
Last November, Serhiy Sternenko, the former head of the Odessa branch of the nationalist organization Right Sector (banned as extremist in Russia), created a petition in which he called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to ban Russians from entering the country. On his Facebook page, he stated that he was “very interested to see how Zelensky will justify the borders opened with the invaders in the eighth year of the war.”
Made a petition here. On restricting the right of entry into the territory of Ukraine to citizens of the aggressor state of the Russian Federation. It is very interesting to see how [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky will justify the borders opened with the invaders in the eighth year of the war

In May 2021, Sternenko announced a reward for information on the whereabouts of Russian rapper Basta (Vasily Vakulenko) after he was spotted in Kiev. In 2017, the Security Service of Ukraine banned the performer from entering the country due to concerts in Crimea.
