Ukraine launched the first official investigation into the case of rape of a woman near Kiev, committed by a serviceman of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The invader killed an unarmed man and repeatedly committed sexual acts with his wife.
The Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Irina Venediktova, reported that in one of the villages of the Brovarsky district, a Russian military man broke into a private house and shot the owner.
— After that, the drunken soldier, together with his colleague, repeatedly raped the wife of a murdered civilian, at the same time threatening her with violence and weapons. Even threatened her child, who was with the victim, — Venediktova noted.
Prosecutors identified the Russian military, informed him of suspicion of violating the laws and customs of war. He was put on the wanted list, and a petition for detention was filed with the court.
Irina Venediktova stressed that law enforcement officers would find every scoundrel and make them liable under the law for crimes in the temporarily occupied territories and in “hot spots&# 8221; in Ukraine.
