In Kiev, an activist of the Femen movement lifted her skirt in front of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, who tried to vote in local elections. It is reported by the “Strana” edition.
It is noted that the head of state arrived at the polling station with his wife. At the moment when Zelensky was approaching the site, a girl without underwear ran out of the crowd and lifted her red skirt. Her body was smeared with brilliant green, and on the inside of her clothes was the inscription Zexist.
The president's bodyguards detained the girl, the action lasted for several seconds. Femen representatives told reporters that in this way they tried to draw attention to Zelensky's sexist statements. The organization did not specify exactly what words were in question.
Earlier, the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Serhiy Yarovoy said that during the two hours of voting in the local elections, six criminal cases were opened. Several administrative protocols were also drawn up.
Local elections are held in Ukraine on October 25. On this day, an all-Ukrainian poll announced by Volodymyr Zelenskyy will also be conducted.
The Femen movement was created in 2008 in Ukraine, later officially registered in France and opened a branch in Germany. Its members speak out against social injustice and gender discrimination, as well as criticize the church and individual politicians. The organization is known for exposing breasts and other body parts during protests to attract attention. Their actions are classified as “radical exhibitionism.”
