On Sunday, April 21, 36 people were detained in Turkey for possible connections with the Islamic State as part of a special police operation.
This is reported by Reuters with reference to Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikay.
The special operation was carried out in four provinces.
In a post on the social media platform X, Yerlikaya said that police had detained suspects who were active in the Islamic state”, helping to finance and supply food and medicine to a terrorist group.
During the operation, the police seized several unregistered weapons – shotguns and pistols.
Recall that on Saturday, March 23, the jihadist group Islamic State (ID) released a statement detailing the attack on the Crocus City Hall concert hall on the outskirts of Moscow. The terrorist attack is explained by the war between the “Islamic State” and “countries fighting Islam.”
