A 74-year-old pensioner from Transcarpathia was beaten to death by her daughter-in-law. After the crime, the woman herself surrendered to the police.
The incident occurred in the village of Malaya Ugolka, Tyachevsky district. The women lived in the same house, and on the evening of January 19, a scandal arose between them.
The 39-year-old daughter-in-law attacked the pensioner with fists: she died in her room from numerous head injuries. It is not reported whether any of the relatives were in the house at the time of the murder.
Realizing that her mother-in-law was not breathing, the woman herself called the police and told what had happened. The 39-year-old suspect was detained the same evening.
Previously, law enforcement officers established that the would-be daughter-in-law has been registered with a psychiatrist for several years. Despite this, now the woman is already in jail.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under part 1 of Article 115 (Premeditated murder) Criminal Code of Ukraine. In the near future, the suspect will choose a preventive measure. The investigation of the case continues.
