The superyacht Phi, owned by a businessman and a citizen of Russia, was arrested on the coast of London.< /p>

After the intelligence work, the final owner of the vessel, worth 38 million pounds (50 million dollars), was determined. The information was passed on to Transport Minister Grant Shapps, who today ordered the first detention of a superyacht in UK waters. The National Agency issued an appropriate notice of detention. The name of the vessel's owner has not been released.
Owned by a Russian businessman, Phi is the third largest yacht built by prestigious Royal Huisman shipbuilders and features an “infinite wine cellar” and fresh water pool.
Ownership of the yacht was obviously well hidden, the Agency notes. The company to which the ship is registered is based in St. Kitts and Nevis and was flying Maltese flags to hide its origins.
UK Minister for Transport Grant Shapps commented on the incident.
“Today we detained a £38 million superyacht and turned a sign of Russia's wealth into a clear and stern warning to Putin and his cronies. “, – he said.
