In the USA, they came up with a sensor for the prompt diagnosis of a heart attack
Researchers in the United States have developed a device that diagnoses heart attacks in less than 30 seconds. Writes about this magazine Lab on a Chip.
The device was invented at the University of Notre Dame and the University of Florida. The sensor targets a combination of microRNAs. Scientists believe the sensor can diagnose more than just a heart attack. The device is capable of distinguishing between acute attack and reperfusion.
Now doctors spend several hours on such a diagnosis. An echocardiogram shows signs of a heart attack. Then a blood test is needed to confirm the diagnosis. The result is being prepared in about eight hours.
Scientists have already filed a patent application and set about creating a company that will mass produce the device.
Earlier, the cardiologist named atypical signs of myocardial infarction. People with diabetes are at risk because they may have asymptomatic heart attacks.
