It is clarified that in the states of Tennessee and Georgia because of the fallen trees, a seven-year-old girl and a five-year-old boy died. Three more people have died in a car accident in Maryland.
Heavy snowfalls and winds have led to massive power outages in Washington, DC, as well as the neighboring states of Maryland and Virginia. By the evening of December 3, about half a million houses were left without electricity. Due to the rampant elements, President Joe Biden tried to get out of the plane for half an hour.
In March 2019, the Offat military base in the US state of Nebraska was flooded due to flooding.
