On the territory of the Virginia Institute of Technology in the USA, an unknown person opened fire, several people were injured. This is reported by the New York Post.
According to local police, the first shots were fired near the university campus in a hookah bar. Then a signal was received about an armed attack. As a result of the shooting, several people were hospitalized.
It is reported that a police squad cordoned off the territory of the institute. Students were asked to stay at home and not go outside because of the danger. Information about the arrest of the shooter has not yet been received, his identity has also not been disclosed.
Earlier in the United States, a 15-year-old teenager opened fire at a school in Oxford, Michigan and killed three students, six others were injured. As the representative of the police said, the attacker during his stay at the school made from 15 to 20 shots from a semi-automatic pistol, with which he was detained.
