In League City, Texas 64- year-old Kent James shot his 43-year-old Ukrainian ex-wife Yulia James-Dikina.
The murder of a mother of three children occurred on July 6 in the house of the spouses. After the deed, the man shot himself.

League City police spokesman John Griffith said that the police were called by the spouses' neighbor. Immediately after the murder, the frightened children of Julia and Kent ran to him. They told a neighbor that “their father is bleeding” and “he urgently needs help”. The nature of the couple's wounds indicated that Kent had first shot Julia and then committed suicide.
“There is no information about why this happened. There were no preliminary calls, there was no note or quarrel,” a police spokesman said.
Friends of the deceased, who were tracked down by Facts, said that the woman had lived in the United States for about 15 years. Yulia had an active pro-Ukrainian stance and since 2014 she has been actively helping the Ukrainian army. After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Yulia took her parents to the United States.
