The tragedy occurred two years ago, but the court handed down the verdict the day before.

A teenager who two years ago shot four students in his high school, was sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Reuters writes about this.

Ethan Crumbley was 15 years old when he committed the Oxford High School shooting. The guy was shooting with a semi-automatic pistol his father gave him for Christmas.
Four children were killed, six more students and a teacher were injured.

Law enforcement officers found a video taken the day before the attack in which the suspect threatened to shoot and kill students. The police also found a journal where the guy wrote about killing his classmates.

Recall that on the night of October 26, a man committed a mass shooting in the city of Lewiston, in the American state of Maine. As a result, at least 22 people were killed and between 50 and 60 people were injured.

The shooting in Maine has the highest death toll of any gun violence in the country so far this year. This data is provided by the Gun Violence Archive (GVA), an organization that collects information about all incidents in which firearms were involved.
