According to Bloomberg, Elon Musk has a competitor – the company Synchron, which specializes in the development of neurochips. The first experiments have already been carried out and have given positive results.
Synchron is a startup that bypassed Musk's Neuralink and was the first to receive permission to conduct such experiments on humans. We are talking about the United States. Synchron has previously conducted successful experiments in Melbourne. During the experiment, participants went online shopping, corresponded on social networks and sent emails using the power of thought. All participants are paralyzed people.
It is noted that the company is offering chips called Stentrode, which will be implanted into the brain through blood vessels at the base of the neck. The procedure is similar to placing stents in the heart. The use of these neurochips does not require surgery. They are expected to hit the market in three to five years.
