A group of lawmakers introduced in the U.S. Senate a bill to provide Ukraine annually 300 million dollars in military aid. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the document, the funds will be used including the provision of lethal weapons. In addition, the United States will allocate four million dollars for training of the Ukrainian officers.
At the moment, Ukraine is to receive from the United States about $ 250 million for military purposes. Senators intend to build on these commitments in the form of a separate law.
The bill also provides for the appointment by the US administration’s special envoy for Ukraine as a country representative for peace negotiations in the Normandy format.
Earlier it was reported that starting in 2015, and up to the current inclusive, the United States has provided Ukraine military aid for a total amount of two billion dollars.
