The Hill: Putin enlists Beijing's support for a double strike on the United States during a trip to China

Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a trip to China during the Olympic Games, enlisted the support of Beijing in order to be able to strike a double blow against US positions in Eurasia in the future. Gordon Chang, author of an article published in The Hill, who saw through the secret meaning of the trip, argues that with the support of China, Russia will be able to challenge the world community.
The article emphasizes that Moscow allegedly received an “economic lifeline” from Beijing during the visit of the Russian leader, as the author called the conclusion of oil and gas deals announced by Putin with China in the amount of $117.5 billion. “[United States President Joe] Biden said that Washington does not want Nord Stream 2 to work if Russia invades Ukraine. However, the Russian president was one step ahead,” the article says.
The columnist believes that the new agreements between China and Russia are a kind of message to Western countries, broadcasting the unification of Moscow and Beijing, as well as their readiness to enter into a confrontation with Washington.
Earlier it was reported that the US authorities expressed concern about cooperation between Russia and China at the highest level. According to a senior official in the US administration, the recent meeting between Putin and General Secretary of the Chinese Central Committee Xi Jinping indicates that Beijing considers Moscow's actions against Kiev legitimate.
